The Kitchen

The kitchen at 1886 Cottage features a five burner electric stove with convection oven and air fryer setting, and a large single bowl stainless steel sink and microwave oven. The sink has a commercial style pre-rinse faucet with pull-out sprayer. There is a Whirlpool dishwasher.

The kitchen has a distressed white subway tile back splash and white poured concrete counter tops with under cabinet LED lighting. The plentiful cabinets are navy blue with brushed brass knobs and bin pulls. Floating shelves in the kitchen were fashioned from salvaged floor joists.

There is a full height pantry for appliance and food storage. We have a Cuisinart coffee maker that brews with traditional ground coffee and filters or can accommodate K-cups. We use a reusable metal filter rather than disposable paper filters. There is a French Press coffee maker, an electric coffee grinder, and a manual burr grinder. We stock a selection of coffees and teas.

The kitchen is stocked with flatware and utensils, pots and pans, ceramic and Pyrex bakeware and trivets, and a full set of knives, dinner and sandwich plates and bowls. We also have a variety of small appliances including two sizes of crock pot, a stand mixer, a hand mixer, and a food chopper. Glassware includes a variety of glass sizes plus stemware. Serving platters and bowls are in the buffet in the dining room. There is also a set of good quality dinnerware in the buffet in the dining room which is available for us if arranged in advance as the cabinet is locked.

Living Room & Dining Room

The living room at 1886 Cottage features comfortable furniture and several ottomans for additional seating. There is a Samsung 50" smart television. There is a sound bar that is connected to the TV for surround sound, and can be used as a Bluetooth speaker. The antique dresser in the living room holds a variety of games and puzzles. The book shelves on either side of the television hold a  selection of books on the western New York and Rochester area.

The dining room features custom draperies in a William Morris inspired pattern. The dining room table is set up with two leaves to comfortably seat 6 people. There are additional table cloths in the antique oak buffet in the dining room, and an additional set of China dishware and serving pieces which are locked in the buffets which are available upon request in advance. 

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1 is on the first floor off the dining room. It features a twin daybed with a pull out trundle, fabric top-down, bottom-up privacy blinds, hardwood floors and a flat screen tv with digital antennae. The bedding is a down-alternative comforter and ultra-soft microfiber sheets. An antique oak armoire offers ample storage. A wall-mounted TV with an X-Box game console and a variety of games makes this space great for kids. A bedside fan with sleep setting is provided.

Bedroom 2  is on the second floor of the house and features chestnut Eastlake style furnishings, a large closet, fabric top-down, bottom-up privacy blinds, hardwood floors and a flat screen tv with digital antennae. The full sized bed features a down-alternative comforter and ultra-soft microfiber sheets. A bedside fan with sleep setting is provided.

Bedroom 3  is on the second floor of the house and features features antique furniture, a large closet, fabric top-down, bottom-up privacy blinds, hardwood floors and a large wall-mounted flat screen tv with digital antennae. The king-sized bed features a down alternative comforter and ultra-soft microfiber sheets. A bedside fan with sleep setting is provided. 

Bathrooms

There is a half bath on the first floor off the kitchen which features an antique pedestal sink and medicine cabinet, and new brushed brass faucets. The powder room is also the laundry room which features GE front loading washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and steamer.

There is a full bath on the second floor which features a walk-in shower stall with tiled walls, traditional hexagon floor tiles, an antique sewing machine vanity with vessel sink, and an LED lighted mirror. The 48" walk-in shower is tiled in sage green subway tiles, and features a handheld shower. We provide you with hair dryers, body wash, hand soap, and shampoo.

Extra towels and wash cloths are stored in the linen closet in the upstairs hallway.
